Current Favourites

1) Real Techniques Blush Brush
Real Techniques - a brand that every make up lover is all too familiar with, but not for bad reasons. For very good ones. I recently bought the Blush Brush and I'm in love. I don't usually use it for blusher, but I use my Bobbi Brown shimmer brick and it applies so nicely that it has become my favourite part of my make up application!

2) Benefit Hoola Bronzer
I've never been into bronzing my face. I always felt like I had too pale a face to make bronzer look natural, but that was before I tried this one. When I first used it I wasn't sure how pigmented it was, so you can imagine my embarrassment when I piled it on the brush and smothered it all over my face. Not a good look, let me tell you. But now that I have actually learnt how to apply it properly, I love it. I don't use it to contour, because I don't think that look suits me, so just a light brush on my face to give me a bit of colour is perfect. I also use this down each side of my nose to make it look a little thinner - my favourite trick of all.

3) Barry M Brow Kit
aka My new obsession! If you told me a year ago that I'd be obsessed with a brow product, I'd have told you to get lost, because I never used to see the importance of filling in eyebrows. But, do not fret, I have seen the error of my ways, and I have never looked back. I've tried a few brow products, and I have decided that I definitely like powdered eyebrow products better. I think they make it look a lot more natural than a pencil, gel etc. This has three different parts; a wax, a powder and a concealer. The wax is amazing at keeping the powder in place, and the concealer helps cover up and lines that aren't as sharp as you'd like. It also comes with a small double sided brush and some tweezers which is very handy when you're on the go!

4) Benefit They're Real Mascara
I cannot believe how long it has taken me to try this product. I'm one of those people who will find a product they love and use it to its death without trying out anything else, and that's what I did until I finally bit the bullet and chose to use something else. I feel like this is definitely more of an evening mascara as it kind of gives it away in its name that it is supposed to look like you're wearing false eyelashes, and it really does.

5) Benefit Porefessional Primer
Everyone and their mother has this product. I have visible pores, so I needed something to help me with that and this primer has helped so much. I do feel like the texture is a little oily, but once it is on the face its fine. A little product goes very far, and leaves my face with a very smooth canvas to work with.
