Usually any kind of bright lip colour does not suit me at all, so I tend to opt for the nude colours.
I decided that I wanted to try out a light pink, to see if that looked as silly as I'd thought, but this one was a little brighter than I expected. How do I make this work? I thought, then I wondered if it would look better over a nude lip liner, and lo and behold, it worked.
