Current Skincare Routine

In the morning, I start off by damping my face with a hot cloth, prepped and ready for my Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser. I've used this cleanser for so many years and it never fails to amaze me at how soft it makes my skin feel. I don't know how you would describe its scent, other than light and clean, and that attracts me too it so much that I just can never wait to wake up and cleanse my face!

Following this, I use the Liz Earle Light Moisturiser, which again I have used for many years. I have tried a lot of different moisturisers in my time, Clinique, Benefit, Simple, Elemis and so on, but I've never quite found one that is as light as this - (which is kind of a giveaway in the name of the product) - or one that leaves my skin feeling full of moisture, but not so much that it becomes oily.

In the evenings, I remove most of my make up with a baby wipe, because I feel like they're just a lot kinder to my skin without all the chemicals, and they do just as good of a job than a makeup remover wipe would. To get the rest of my make up off I use Clinique's Take The Day off which is an absolute Godsend! Even when you feel like you've got it all off, this baby will prove you wrong! You know when you take off eye make up and sometimes it starts to sting? I find that problem has been completely eliminated since using this product. It's very gentle and never leaves me wanting to claw my eyes out - lol. I've used so many bottles of this stuff and I don't think I'll ever stop using it. Which reminds me, I need to get some more...

I then go in with my Clinique Liquid Facial Soap which lathers up so beautifully on my face that I just want to stand there for hours cleaning it. I use an exfoliating mitt for this as I feel that is the best tool for getting all the dirt out from my pores. This does leave my face a little red overnight, mainly because of the texture of the mitt, but it is always fine by morning and my face still feels as clean as it did when I washed it. I believe that there are different types of this product for different skin types, which is always good to know if it's right for your skin before you try it out.

After the Facial Soap I use my Liz Earle Light Moisturiser again and then I'm good to go! (And just for reference purposes, my skin type is combination.)
Once or twice a week, I use my Lush Mask of Magnaminty. I did a post all about this here, so click to find out more about that!

So that is my current skincare routine. I'm happy with this at the moment and I find that it is working for me. I do still get breakouts but for me that problem will never make me worry too much as I've always had breakouts. I'm glad that I've finally found a good combination of products that I feel work nicely with my skin.
