Being Happy


Recently my family and I all thought "That's it, enough is enough." and we stopped living unhealthily. We threw out the takeaway menus, stocked up on fruit and vegetables and there began the paleo diet. 
The Paleo Diet basically means that you eat only foods that would have been available for cavemen. No processed foods, just meat and things that grow from the ground.

We've been doing this for about 6 weeks now and it has made a huge difference to not just our health but our minds. It's safe to say that eating healthily does make you feel happier. When you fill your body with all the bad stuff it makes you feel grubby, and sometimes it plays on your mind... maybe I shouldn't have eaten that slice of pizza. But eating the right food really does send a message to your brain, and that message is positive. Since the diet began I can really feel a difference in the way I am. I've become more confident in myself, I have decided that being unhappy wasn't working for me. My new motto is "I don't give a shit" and that applies to people's opinions. I've not had the best amount of confidence in my life and now that I'm starting to feel better from my health, there has been a correlation with my self esteem. I don't give a shit what anyone thinks of me anymore. I'm going to be who I am, and not hide anymore. This is my pledge. From now on whenever I feel down or un-confident, I'm just going to come back and read this post to make myself remember this point in my life.
I'm liking who I am at the moment and I really hope I continue to live this way.
