Artist Addiction #2 - The 1975

The 1975
(aka My new favourite band)
Recently I have been getting more and more into music - like I thought that was possible - and I'm loving what I have found recently. My brother is a big influence when it comes to what I listen to (as I mentioned in my Jake Bugg post a few months ago) and he played me a few songs from The 1975.

I'm pretty sure the majority of the UK has heard of The 1975, an English 'indie rock' band. Their self titled album debuted at number 1 yesterday in the album charts and I have to say I don't think anyone else deserved it, ITS SO GOOD. If you're into this kind of music (and even if you're not) I can guarantee that you'll enjoy it.
It is one of those albums where nearly every song is bloody brilliant. I have about 10 favourites out of the 16... that's how much I love it! If I could marry an album, this would be the one and we would live happily ever after.
The singer's voice is so unique which is what sets it apart from all the other indie rock music out there, and the music is usually quite funky (especially in 'Settle Down')
I highly recommend giving it a listen if you haven't already!

Fun Fact: The lead singer's mum is Denise Welch!
