Mamas Gun

So last night, my family (minus me) went to see Level 42 at the indigo o2 in London. My dad particularly took a liking to their support group, Mamas Gun and so he bought two of their CDs .
Needless to say, he's been playing these CDs all day and if I do say so myself, they are incredible. Their sound is very funky, my dad says "a cross between Level 42 and Jamiroquai" so its something you would have heard a few decades ago, but being brought up listening to that kind of music, I love it.
The bass player contributes a lot to why I like it, carrying the funkiness, making me want to get up and dance (but I won't though, because I would embarrass myself).
They're a band that I can really picture being equally as good live as they are on record, so I kind of wish I had gone last night.
